Das Ensemble Wien Helsinki wurde im Jahr 2006 durch feine MusikerInnen, u.a. auch Mitglieder der Wiener Philharmoniker gegründet. Ms. Dr. Linda Hedlund, aus Helsinki stammende geigerin (Sibelius Akademie) und u.a. Konzertfach Absolventin von der Universität für Musik und darstellende kunst in Wien (Prof. Rainer Küchl, 1. Konzertmeister der Wiener Philharmoniker) führt dieses Ensemble. Alle andere Mitglieder haben ihre studium in Wien bei den Professoren der Wiener Philharmoniker und Wiener Staatsopernorchester abgeschlossen und pflegen eine besondere Klangqualität und spielart. Das Ensemble interpretiert werke aus Wiener Klassik Epoche bis zur Musik der gegenwart (u.a. Gottfried von Einem und Thomas Chrsitian David).
The Ensemble Wien Helsinki was founded by fine International-Viennese musicians. The leader of the Ensemble is Ms. Linda Hedlund (violinist from Helsinki who has graduated from the University for Music and performing Arts in Vienna (Studies with Prof. Rainer Kuchl, 1st concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra). The Ensemble interprets works from the classical repertoire, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms as well as music by contemporary composers such as Gottfried von Einem, Thomas Christian David. All members of the Ensemble have their Education from the Professors of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Vienna State Opera Orchestra and graduated from the University for Music and performing arts in Vienna and focus on the special sound quality and the art of interpretation.
